Intel gave me the following response: “We’re aware of a dispute with Assassins Creed: Valhalla, and we’re working on a fix with the game editor.”
It’s an issue that we were informed of when Intel released 12th Gen, and one that I had to examine during testing with Assassin’s Creed: Valhalla. Although there are many games that the opposite is true for DRM or Digital Rights Management, they do not allow the processor to boot the game. Intel Alder Lake processors are coming out now, and they’re very rapid in games, as you’ll find out in our Core i9-12900K and Core i5-12600K review. The Anthem, Assassin’s Creed: Valhalla, For Honor, Mortal Kombat and Madden 22 all fall foul of DRM issues with Intel’s 12th Gen.
